Description

Just like Parsley, Thyme is an herb that is used in Indian and international cuisines as it lends the dishes minty, lemony, and slightly earthy flavor and it is potent in taste. It has bright green color leaves and stems, these herbs are used in small amounts to give dishes an offbeat flavor ranging from vegetable stews, meats, sauces, and soups to name a few.

How To Enjoy Your Thyme?

- Thyme can be used fresh or dried to flavor a variety of dishes, including soups, stews, sauces, and roasted meats and vegetables
- It pairs well with other herbs like rosemary, oregano, and sage, and can be used in spice blends like za'atar
- Thyme can also be infused in tea or used as an essential oil for aromatherapy

How We Pluckk The Best For You?

- Sourced from partner farms
- Thyme is checked for freshness, vibrant fresh green stems, light green, and tender leaves with aroma
- Produce with signs of wilting, yellowing or leaves, musty or weak smell, discolored stems, etc, are rejected

Shelf Life and Storage

Thyme can be stored at room temperature between 15 to 25 degrees Celcius. It has a shelf life of up to 3 days. You can extend its life by storing dried thyme in a jar in a cool and dry place. You can freeze it for an extended shelf life. You need to rinse it in cold water, strip the leaves, chop it finely, place it on a cube tray, and freeze it.

If you want to keep it fresh, you can do so by dipping the roots in a jar of water similar to how you would keep a flower with its stem intact. Wrap it in a damp paper towel and keep it in a refrigerator to retain moisture.
