Ingredients:
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp Cumin and Mustard seeds (each)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 Green chopped Chillies
- 1/4 cup chopped onions and tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 sprig Curry leaves , finely chopped
- 2 cups Green Moong Sprouts
- 2 sprig Mint Leaves
- Lemon
- Chopped Coriander Leave
How to make?
- First up, prepare all the ingredients listed above and in their required quantities and keep them handy.
- For the moong sprouts, add a teaspoon of oil into a preheated pan and heat it up. Next, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to crackle.
- Once they are crackled, you need to add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, and turmeric powder in the pan and stir it for a few seconds
- Next, add the sprouted green moong dal into the pan along with salt as per taste. You need to add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water in the pan as well.
- Finally, let the green moong sprouts soften a bit by covering the pan with a lid. The moong dal should get soft and yet maintain its shape.Overheating it would make it mushy.
- Once done, squeeze one lemon, add chopped coriander leaves and keep it aside.
- To make pudina chutney, you need to add mint leaves,almonds, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, salt, juice from one lemon, and jaggery in a blender.
- Pour 1/4 cup of water and blend it well until you get a smooth pudina chutney. Keep it aside.
- Finally,take 1/2 cup of moong sprouts into individual serving bowls, garnish it with pudina chutney. - You can garnish the chaat with onions, coriander leaves, tomatoes & finally a pinch of chaat masala before serving.
